My Haiku poems

We have been learning about haiku poems. On the first line there has to be 5 syllables, on the second line there has to be 7 syllables and on the third line there has to be 5 syllables. Haiku poems are from Japan.


Friends

Friend are like flowers.
Petals break if you are mean.
Care for your best friends.

We have been leaning about free verse poems. Today I will tell you one about a cow.

                            COWS

I'm a cow I say moo, moo.   What else can I do?   

I can't speak another language. Oh I know!

 

I can eat grass munch,munch,munch. I else sleep

under a big tree zzz,zzz Than the farmer comes

out we all jump up. Than we go to the farmer and than

he milks us brish, brish and than it go's into the bucket

splash,splash,splash and the farmer and his family drink

it guggug,gug,gug. Than we go back to the farm moooooo.

Swimming

This is my poem using onomatopoea.

SWIMMING

We went to the pool
and it was cool
The studens jumped
into the pool.
Splash, splash, splash
We kicked with our boards
Kick,kick,kick
We did breastroke froggy
kick,glid, breath.
Froggy -kick, glide, breath.
Brish, hah!, Brish, hah!,
After we jumped out we got our towels
And dried ourselves
Drip, drip, drip, drip
Then we lined up and got on the bus
Thud, thud, thud
And rode all the way back to school.
Everyone said that was fun.

Swimming in Term 4

This is the start of a new term-term 4.

Yesterday we want to Long Tan to do some swimming. First we lined up. Then we listened to our coach. The first tow people jumped in the pool and did some kicking with a board. Then the next two people jumped in, and then the next two people. After that we hopped out an then we did some freestyle and some breasstroke. Finally we got to choose what stroke we wanted to do and I picked butterfly.

Square number

This week we have been leaning about square numbers. Yesterday my teacher showed the class what a square number is. A square number is when you double a number like 4x4 that a square number.

DEAR DIARY

On the weekend I watched HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2 in bed. Then I went for a bike ride. On my bike ride we went to an open house and then past my soccer flied and back. When we got back I had a shower and played with my friend on the street for 4 hours. after that did some of my homework.

Hi - Introducing myself

I am a year 4 student at a primary school in Townsville. My favourite sport is soccer because it fun. I have just had school holidays. In the holidays I went to Brisbane and movie world. I went on a lot of rides and saw the movie Shrek, in 4D. I saw my friend Kalila and we went on the Scooby-do ride together. I enjoyed it but most importantly;
I HAD THE GREATEST TIME OF MY LIFE
